The “Open Streets at Penn Fest” event was held on September 17th from noon to 4:00 pm. Penn Ave, a busy street in Richfield was closed from 66th to 76th Street. Over 100 local organizations and businesses participated. The post had a game for kids to play, and handed out more than 125 Halloween bags and coloring books, along with over 300 CHAD stickers. Members talked to individuals about the CHAD program and shared information about the Travelers Protective Association (TPA). Visitors took information on membership and on the division’s 5K Fun Walk to be held on September 30th. Post AB was invited to share the story of our CHAD sticker program, to a group of mostly parents, at Partnership Academy. The academy provides education for children in grades K-5. Members had a great time and were able share the story of TPA with new individuals. Post members working the booth include Jan Boller, Joh Hogetvedt, Jackie Grossklaus, and Dave Grossklaus. For more information about TPA and how to join contact Dave at tpamndaveg@gmail.com or by phone at (612) 244-5684.
