Barbara Bass was the speaker at the Post D monthly meeting of the Travelers Protective Association (TPA) in South Boston. She is the president of the Halifax County Historical Society. Bass presented an interesting program on the Historical Society and what is done to preserve history in the county. She shared the numerous publications the Society has published and discussed their current project of saving the Halifax Cotton Mill Tower.
