Post I of the Michigan Division of the Travelers Protective Association of America (TPA) held its annual golf fundraiser at Ledge Meadows Golf Course. Each year the post finds a local charity or two to support by donating the proceeds raised at the event. This year the Lansing/Grand Ledge Alzheimer’s Group, along with the post’s child safety fund, were the beneficiaries and each received $800. Fourteen-year-old Kendra Kelly organized this charity two years ago in honor of her grandfather, an avid golfer who passed away in January 2018. Owners of the Ledge Meadows Golf Course, Scott Kelly, Kendra’s dad, and Harold Weeks provided an excellent venue for the event that included a golf cart, lunch, and a steak and chicken dinner.
