Travelers Protective Association Hosts 4th Annual 5K Family Fun Run/Walk to Benefit Scholarship Trust for    the Hearing Impaired

WHAT:

Travelers Protective Association of America (TPA) Post SC of the Missouri Division will host its fourth annual “Hear To Win” 5K Family Fun Run/Walk. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the TPA’s Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired.

WHY:

Established by TPA in 1975, the mission of the Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired is to provide aid to individuals that are deaf or hard of hearing with resources that will allow them to experience a better quality of life. To date, the Trust has distributed over $2 million, benefiting more than 5,800 individual recipients. Recipients utilize the funding from these grants to obtain the help and resources they need, including mechanical devices, medical or specialized treatment, specialized education, speech classes, note takers, interpreters and much more.

WHEN:

Saturday, August 31, 2019
Registration opens at 8:00 a.m.
Race begins at 9:00 a.m.

WHERE:

Woodlands Sports Park

WHO:

  • Participants: this event is open to all, registration is required prior to start of race
  • Organizers: members of the St. Charles-based Post of TPA
  • VIPs: TPA National Headquarters Chief Administrative Officer Albert Shoemaker

Registration fee is $25
