Post I of the Michigan Division of the Travelers Protective Association (TPA) has taken on the Adopt -A-Highway task for the State of Michigan. The program is designed to help keep the state’s highway roadsides clean and attractive. TPA maintains two miles of Route M-66, approximately 11 miles north of Ionia. There are two events for this community service activity each year; one scheduled in the spring and the other in the fall. This event occurred on Saturday, April 22.
Pictured left to right are community service volunteers and Post I members Wayne Wentworth and Donald Veitenheimer, standing at the North end of the project. Volunteers not pictured include Diane Seymour, James Seymour, Barbara Mackowiak, Richard Mackowiak, and Gary Piercefield, who left after finishing the South end of the project.
