Albert M. Shoemaker, Jr., chief administrative officer of TPA attended the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives (NANOE) two-day best practices conference in Rock Hill, South Carolina on August 1st and 2nd.  Attending on behalf of the Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired were trustees Richard Martin from South Carolina and James Ruppe from North Carolina.  NANOE is the only nationwide membership organization in the United States for executives seeking credentials in the art of nonprofit capacity-building where “best practice” experts discover new ways to advance the common good.  NANOE credentialing is based on a new set of governing practices for nonprofits developed by a network of experts (practitioners, policy makers, academics and industry leaders) committed to increasing nonprofit organizational capacity.
