Kaden was born profoundly deaf in his right ear and partially deaf in his left. It took 3 years and 2 doctors for the problem to be found so Kaden fell behind in his speech. Aside from the hearing Kaden also has low muscle tone in his hands and legs making gross and fine motor tasks difficult for him. At age 3 he was given an FM system to use in school and at age 7 he was finally given a cross hearing aid system.
Kaden’s favorite subjects are math and history and he also learned to love reading on his own. Despite his many challenges he loves football, basketball, and all types of music and dance.
He intends to use the grant for his tuition at the Central Institute for the Deaf.
