Post D of the Virginia Division of the Travelers Protective Association of America (TPA) participated in the Fourth of July parade in South Boston. National director Carlyle Wimbish decorated his antique Maserati convertible with American Flags and old TPA logo. Riding along was Bill Haley, the post president. The crowd on the parade route was estimated to be between four and five thousand people.
